What are three objects you couldn’t live without?

Here I sit in my warm, snug room, my dear things all around me, and I can’t help but think of the three items I just can’t do without. To some they might look plain, yet for me, they are dear and key to my day by day life. The first, a little, old book my grandma gave me before she died. It might not look big, but this book holds my deep thoughts, hopes, and past. If I feel too much or lost, I look to this book for help and lead. It’s like my grandma’s soul is in the pages, leading me in good and bad times. Without this book, a part of me would be gone. The second, a fine silver chain with a tiny heart that dangles. It was a gift from my best mate when we left school. We said no matter where we go, this chain will keep us linked. When I put it on, I recall our strong tie and our times together. This chain has seen all big points in my life; I can’t see the world without it. The third, an old Polaroid I found in a used goods shop. I’ve always loved taking photos, and this camera follows me on all my trips. It takes moments words can’t show, locking them in time. I love the feel of a real photo in my hands, and this camera lets me have that. It has started lots of talks with new people, as they want to know about its old look. Without this camera, my trips would feel less whole. Thinking of these three things, I see they all mean a lot. They show people I love, times I hold dear, and what I love to do. They’re part of who I am, and I can’t think of life without them. I feel thanks for these things and the ease they give. They tell me to take it slow and love the small parts of life. They’ve taught me that while stuff can come and go, the times and feelings they bring stay on. In a world full of new tech and things, we must not forget what’s real important. To me, it’s my grandma’s book, my mate’s chain, and my good old camera. These three are my lifeline, and I’ll always be thankful they’re in my life.
